He made it. As I recall, the burns weren't that bad. Flame suits have more uses than protecting a poster on this board who shows us his 911 with a Ford V8.

I was there at VIR the day the Cobra flipped. A woman was driving it and I remember passing the car while it on it's top. She and her husband got the car back to the paddock and with some 200MPH tape, no windshield and an oil change, got the car running again and went back out later in the day!

Yeah, he lived... It was the Japan superGT , and the above video is edited short.
Look for the full thing on youtube, won't post it as it's pretty bad...

He later sued the track because the bad emergency response, that left him laying on the tarmac with 3rd degree burns...
Other drivers had stopped with onboard fire extinguishers long before the track's officials had even started to react
