eighteen stitches and a couple black eyes but other than that he is fine. These pics were forwarded to me from a friend in Paris, not sure when this happened but the flight was between Phoenix and Show Low, strike was at 11,000ft.

He was coming in to land and tagged the bird in descent. Lucky that he made it down in good shape.
