+1 I loved the one that had tool cabinets in it. The others were okay, too.

If I'm not mistaken the one with the gold Camaro and Orange BMW 2002 is Griot's as in Griot's Garage the car care catalog. I remember reading about this someplace. He either does now or did live in the space on top.

Went back and looked again. Quite a few really nice garages. Several full of Porsche classics and race cars. 356, 911, 904, Carrera GT's and more. Several race shops as well.

This shows how some cars are truly art, and there are people who wish to display them as such.

There's a guy around here who lives at the top of Anaheim hills that has a garage that could keep up with if not top those.
I've only been there once, his name is Gerald Barnes. he has a really nice blue fuel injected 906E that won at the Palos Verde concourse and Porsche parade, a Bugatti Veyron, an enzo, etc.
He can park close to 100 cars on his driveway.

IIRC, he also had a 427 cobra, a couple three rare 356s, several other porsches, a couple of ferraris including a nice daytona spyder, a 1923 mercedes limo, and a few muscle cars.
His $100k mercedes was parked outside

IIRC he owns Ferrari Maserati Southern California.

The guy's got more money than Carter has pills but when I met his he was totally cool, a very nice guy.

906E-159 has been described as 'the most rare, best restored 906 with most race wins.' It is one of four fuel-injected factory long nose 906E and is referred as a long nose short tale. The car raced the 1967 24 Hour Daytona International, was purchased by Briggs Cunningham who then sold it to Otto Zipper. It won all of the races of the 1967 United States Racing Championship Series and the 1967 SCCA Series. In 1968, the car won at Laguna Seca and Riverside Grand Prix. Later sold to Vasek Polak, the car also won the 1968 SCCA National Title and was retired at the end of that season.

• 1967 United States Road Racing Championship (USRRC) and SCCA Series with Scooter Patrick driving winning national titles in under 2-liter class.

• Factory Works entry for the 1967 Daytona 24 hour with Works driver Joe Baretta and Gerhard Mitter.

• 1968 1st at Laguna Seca and Riverside. Divisional SCCA Champion under 2-liter with Milt Minter driving.

• One of four fuel injected factory works long nose short tail version, this 906E was formerly owned by Briggs Cunningham, Otto Zipper, and Vasek Polak. Presentely owned by Gerald Barnes of Anaheim Hills, California.

Agreed. Especially when you consider all the craftsmanship necessary to create some of the cars presented. Metalwork, paint, upholstery, precision mechanics...it all adds up to an artform. I have some pieces of art that are worth more than my 911 but they were likely produced in a fraction of the time (and a fraction of material cost) it took create some of the classic cars from this thread.

those are not garages, they are display rooms for shiny things. a garage is a place to work on the car.
