Two thoughts.
Everything to excess causes cancer. If you have one cigarette a year, you're fine. Smoke 3 packs a day, you get cancer. Life is 100% fatal. No matter what we do, all of us die. The trick is to balance the enjoyment (excess) with good choices. Therefore, unless you are continually exposed to it, I wouldn't worry. Well, I wouldn't worry about everything that can kill you. |
By defn, "excess" is too much - that does not mean that thing will cause cancer.
But, as usual, sammy is way off base -- plug aliphatic petroleum distillates + cancer into Google, sammy. The Purdue Univ. web site is one good source. Nonetheless, WD-40 is pretty low on the harm list. I agree it is also pretty low on the list fo thing that are worthwhile to use -- I keep a can in the garage as an "art object" - next to the old oil cans from the 1930s and the Marvel Mystery Oil can... |
