Remington rolling block #4
I have been a busy boy the last few weeks. This rolling block was given to me with no stock, and coated with rust. So iI had nothing to lose by restoring it. Yes I know the receiver should be case colored but it was so badly pitted I just rust blued the whole thing. It also needs the barrel relined as the rifling all came out with one stroke of a bronze brush.

You have been busy. You need to match the stock to the forearm (wear wise) or replace the forearm.

you are right. I didn't think of that. duh.
Busy? I'm slammed. It looks like a barrel factory around here. |

Love the look of the gun, beautiful job.
What does it shoot? |
Hi Paul,
It's a .22 S L LR. I'm using it to kill those bastard chipmunks that burrow next to my foundation. I'm using bird shot so the "smooth" barrel is ok. However the throat/chamber is also burned out so it blows back in yer face when you pull the string. Thanks for the comps. |
