Spark plug, normal or not?

Since this is not a p-car I suppose I'll post it here. The vehicle in question is a 2001 Land Rover Discovery 2. This is my wife's car and now that it's out of warranty I'm taking care of it. Great car, no hassles, just crossed 112k on the clock so I'm doing some routine maintenance.

Today was plugs and wires. After pulling the plugs I'm a bit confused. The plugs all have to some degree a sharp point where I'm used to seeing a round dull plug for the anode. Is this normal for these plugs? Or are they seriously worn?

looks normal to me (electrode and plug condition). Most plugs have an electrode like that nowadays.

Yeah, just a newer style. Possibly a platinum or something.

Thanks guys, I have no idea if these have 112k on them or, 5k, but they look pretty good for an older engine. They are Champion BTW.

Yep, either platinum , or iridium. Remember when spark plugs only lasted 25,000 miles? Now they go 100,000, and usually you cannot detect any wear on them at all .

Yes, I remember. I also remember having to change my points every 5k as well. Times have sure changed. I think I'm done tuning it up at this point, since it's coil to plug and I've no lights on the dash I better stop here.
