F-me!!! Under Armour = Victoria's Secret
...Went and bought my 1st pair of chonies in 30 years...usually I'm commando. Sooo I doll myself up w/ 4 pairs of Under Armour boxer briefs and 4 pairs of their socks. $154.00 That's some expensive schit right there! What am I funding here?
No rash walking 60 miles, so the briefs worked...the socks...blister city. Tho the real culprit I suspect was day 1 downhill 8% for a 1/2 mile, never recovered from the rubbing my feet took. How much do you usually spend on this stuff?

Hanes comfort fit, like M Jordan advertises for.
Way better as far as comfort and fit that Fruit of the Loom. About $20 fer three pairs IIRC. Dunno about the high priced stuff, don't shop at those places. I like my money. |

20 bucks a garment.
I wondered how UA was able to afford to pay pro football players to wear their shoes.

I think I've been had too...agree on Thorlo...used them in my waders for dux and geese, always stayed warm, no hot spots while thrashing around the marshes. Should just stay w/ what works.

Was that the Sports Authority next to Stater brothers market?
Buy UA (and similar big name brand) sports stuff at Nordstrom Rack and the big sale events at places like SA or Sports Chalet. A couple months back I got 2 UA shirts and 2 UA basketball shorts for 75% off...quality stuff for ~ $10 a pop. If it's not on a sale rack don't even bother looking... Underwear and socks we get at Costco. |

Jim,
Sorry to hear of your blisters. As with anything the right equipment, in this case clothing, makes all the difference. I would suspect your shoes and sock combo or just the shoes alone as the culprit for your blisters. The chonies were $ well spent if you went 60 miles over 3 days and experienced no rash. I recently (5 months ago) took up running and finished my 1st 1/2 marathon earlier this month. I can tell you I went thru several shoes before I found the right ones that worked for me. The socks I use are super thin, dry fit and for me are the only sock I will run in. Thorlo's for me are to thick and cause me problems. Some people swear by them. UA running shorts work best for me after trying several brands. I get them at Sports A with the 25% or 35% coupons and when they are on sale. Again, what works for you. I am sure your boots for hunting are top notch and perform to your expectations and worth what ever you paid. Hope your hunting trip is still a go.
