I never did here what happened to the spring that hit Massa, it came off the Brawn car on what looked like to be a high speed part of the track. My understanding and experience with open wheel racing leads me to believe there was a one corner suspension failure with Rubens car but he didn't crash, his car wasn't dragging its way back to the pits. I'm thinking a Brawn mechanic changed the spring and forgot to remove it from the car and it worked its way out of the car and then hit Massa. Any body have any pics of Rubens car showing the missing spring. Alonso got fined for a wheel not put on properly, what would be the fine for leaving unattached parts sitting in the car.
I've had a cap and wires, a super trapp muffler and a large ball pean hammer fall out of cars I was following, it really un-nerves you to say the least. |

The spring was a secondary heavy load spring which works for both rear wheels in the center.....both the fia and brawn thoroughly inspected the car and iirc it was deamed a failure and not a human error......
