I'd absolutely LOVE a Defender. Or an old school G-wagen.

Actually, I want this thing: Cars for Sale: 1998 Land Rover Defender 110 in CHEVY CHASE , MD 20815: Wagon Details - 257981748 - AutoTrader.com

Or this: Cars for Sale: 1983 Land Rover Defender 110 in TEMECULA , CA 92592: Wagon Details - 270795594 - AutoTrader.com

No clue why, but that's seriously cool.

I know of an '83 110 in pretty clean condition with a 3.9 petrol for under 10k. Prices on the early pre-badge 'Defender' models are very reasonable.
My neighbors are going to think I'm even weirder than they do right now.

Oddly enough this isn't that hard in a Rover, you just drop to 4L press the descent control button and kick back. I know it's cheating to use the computers, but oh well.

My SIII would just fall apart if I tried that.......................
