Son Has The True Spirit of Christmas!
The other night our Son was given the task to write out his Christmas wish list. This is what he wrote:
1) Some presents that I can give to kids who don't have anything 2) A Rip Stick - the camo one 3) 12 Cream Filled Chocolete Chip Cookies form the Nestle Ice Cream Store 4) A new cell phone because I lost my Dads old one 5) A laptop that I can share with my little sister 6) A new Air Soft machine gun like what Tanner has 7) A Ipod booster with clock I read this to Mommy and she was touched that his first wish was to get presnts that he could give to other kids that didn't have any. Now mind you, we don't push the whole charity thing at all - this was all him. Our little Girl just wants a few stuffed animals a bunch of books and a big tub of roasted almonds. I can see her reading books out loud to the animal friends while munching on the almonds. Priceless.

Most likely right. He does have a big heart but also a bag full of wants that never seemed to get filled. He could have just demanded stuff but he went the next step. Props to da playa.
I respect a good, well thought out con. A grifter is the highest form of crime and should be rewarded! If anyone can get over on me with pure wit and grit - God Bless Them. They have earned it in my book. The thing is, he most likely will get what is on his list. They are very good kids, they work hard at school, sports and music, show a lot of respect towards us. We had a long talk this week on the concept of Karma. I'm thinking that he is playing the Karma card pretty heavy. To want something for someone else with the expectation of getting what you want in exchange is as timeless as any form of indulgence! Lets face it, we give because it makes the world better, makes us feel better but deep down we feel that it might just bring us to a better seat next to God when we die.
