365 Days of Steve's Christmas Spirit!

Some people rise to the spirit of Christmas every December. Others keep it captive all year 'round...

I may have posted about this last winter or spring... Steve had cut a really lovely Christmas tree (We're talking Christmas 2008). We had cut it at pretty high elevation and got it home, warm and in water within a few hours. The tree began to grow fresh needles!

Steve spent the next TWO MONTHS supplying the tree with water, a little sugar water and I think one occasion some beer. By February, the tree was clearly looking a little poor (and STILL in the living room).

He took it outside so it could get some sunshine. Now the real truth is that this is how he teases - pretending like this is going to work when I am perfectly aware that all he is trying to do is avoid disposing of the tree. After a couple of decades, you sort of figure each other out.

The tree is still in the backyard - still in the tree stand. Today we got a new tree and Steve finally discarded the old tree.

Thought you all would get a kick of the two trees together and Steve with "A Little Captain In Him" (the festivities have already begun). There have been many times over the years where he has made me just shake my head, but I do have to say, I've NEVER been bored - LOL!

Better question... Why is there a shoe in front of the spyder?

You know, I keep telling him that if he would clean the garage there's no telling what he may find....

That's the missing shoe he was looking for last week. The other is in the hall closet where shoes belong... Why would he take one off in the garage and one off in the house hallway?

Think I should tell him where it's at? Nah!

Some spyder stuff - Look up in 911 Tec for Itsy Bitsy Spyder

So how long did the tree stay green? Had a tree in my garage in Salem that stayed green until March, went and dumped it behind the looney bin from "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" eventually.

Pretty cool article, Mrs Lane you must be tiny.

The tree stayed green for a really long time outside. It made it well into spring. Pretty funny spot you dumped it at!

Me, tiny? Not at all, I'm about 5'5. I don't like sitting on the seat cushions so I sit on the base of the seat which is basically sitting flat on the floor. The only purpose the seat serves for me is keeping my butt far enough forward that I can reach the pedals. My legs are completely horizontal when I drive this. Odd as it sounds, it's very comfortable for me.

I'm hardcore like that you know. Cushions are for wussies!

So like driving a 1200 pound go cart with hotted up 911 motor instead of a Briggs & Stratton

He found his shoe? I was thinking he was doing the Captain Morgan pose.
