Finally completed my Beasties burger pilgrimage....Fat Burger & White Castle

Have been to WC on both trips to NYC (some years ago) but until last weekend i had not eaten at a Fatburger. It's not often that i'm 'Way out west'.

Think i prefer the WC but the Fatburger was not bad.

Quite a bit actually

Was in vegas for 4 days for continuing ed.

I dunno the Fatburger was good and the 'fatfries' were good too........maybe i need to try both in one sitting. not sure how to accomplish that but would be interesting.

mmmm, FATBURGER!!! FTW.

Turkey burger with egg, and a ton of chipotle tobasco!

I went to what a Californin would call the east-coast, DETROIT!

First thing that I did after getting the rental car was run to White Castle. Second thing I did was toss that **** in the trash can after 3 bights. third thing I did was brush my teeth.

I had to wash my tooth brush in listerene to clean it off!

Burger cooked in LARD, Onion cooked in LARD, buns grilled in LARD. it was foul!

You need to hit Charlottesville, stop at a greasy spoon called The White Spot, and have a Gus Burger.

Down here we have Krystal, which is the Southern version of White Castle.
About as nasty and best consumed at 3AM after copious amounts of alcohol so you don't remember much in the morning.

Check out this video I did at the Krystal Square Off burger eating contest.

I love White Castles when I am in areas where they can be found...but Krystals are pretty darned good when visiting the southeast (which I do much more often)! Maybe they would not be so good if you ate them all the time, but a bag or two of them a couple of times a year is amazing.

Oh, I understood why you asked. You live "down here" so you are "in the know."

I dunno. I stopped at a Krystal in Ocala numerous years ago. The burgers were disgusting. I was surprised how bad they were. I ate one & threw 2 out iirc . . .

Of course, it was in the middle of the day & I wasn't drinking so . . .

Well there you are!
You need to be drunk in the wee hours of the morning to appreciate them.

Do you by any chance dislike onions? Really Strong flavored onions? If so, well....

Around here, it used to be the Earl of Sandwich like 15th and H, they closed, now it is Tiny's over by Sac State. The Squeeze Inn is not bad, squeeze with cheese is the hot ticket.

You can keep your White Castle, Krystal, whatever sliders you want to name, nasty.
