Cool... I just did a similar geek move... Got an AirPort express today... I can stream my iTunes library to my home stereo now... and control it from anywhere in the house via my iPhone.... And I paid 25 for AirFoil and now I can do the same with Pandora Radio

Cool beans... I thought those iphones were just a fad/gimmick until one of my students brought one into class one day.. boy was I wrong! I can't justify getting one at this point and time but once I can I think that I will pull the trigger on one... Have a great flight and don't eat the fish...

With too much money if he has those headphones....

pwd72s 12-08-2009 05:51 PM

FWIW, my ipod now holds 1381 tunes, a hair over 8Kb down...7 and a fraction more to go.

No more need to pay Sirius radio, I just plug this puppy in! :D

That is what I was thinking just going by the thread title.

Those headphones are phe-freakin-nominal. They need to be heard to be believed.

That Bose stuff is pricey, but they understand sound, and take advantage of this knowledge to great effect.

GH85Carrera 12-08-2009 06:28 PM

Our pilot has a pair of those. He uses it to keep things quiet, and hear Air Traffic Control.

It's like "Snakes on a Plane" but with 95% less snakes.

Keep loading Paul!

I'm up to 14gb now and soon out of space on my iPod touch. It'll be ok if I stop buying music now, but that's just not going to happen.

iTunes just told me I have 12.1 days of music, in something the size oh a small notepad yeahhhhhhhhhh.

I have a cell phone that I can talk to and listen to people with.
I think it might have a camera built in, not sure.
Guess I'll never reach geekdom ;)

Things were different when I was your age, now get off my lawn!

motion 12-09-2009 07:53 AM

Crazy... I fly probably twice a month and have never seen wifi on a plane.

kmhemi 12-09-2009 08:57 AM

Guess I'll never be a techno geek...this stuff just amazes me. I mean, to guys my age, the first "compact disc" was the 45 rpm record...

kmhemi 12-09-2009 09:25 AM

I wouldnt even want to guess how many 33's and 45's I have in storage. Alot of good music thats for sure. I recently saw a turn table that had a USB port and it converts them to MP3 ...

MRM 12-09-2009 10:43 AM

You can't be using an iPhone. I read here on PPOT that it was a failure.
