Mega-mouth shark tooth.

JavaBrewer 12-10-2009 09:57 AM

Looks like a tooth from a great white shark - or it's ancient cousin.

Steve Viegas 12-10-2009 09:57 AM

Certainly looks like a shark tooth, perhaps of a megaladon or something similar.

shark tooth. rather big but found along Florida/Georgia coast often.

they come in rows and get snapped off.

Assuming that's not a plant from a practical joker onsite, that looks like it deserves a call to a university. Bryantosaurus tooth?

audiman08 12-10-2009 09:59 AM

Looks like a megalodon tooth, they had one on Pawn Stars a while back. They made a lot of replicas sold at museums, you should have it looked at to see if it's authentic.

JavaBrewer 12-10-2009 09:59 AM

Megladon Shark - not a great white

jbryant 12-10-2009 10:03 AM

It was close to the bottom of a 24 foot cut on a big box store parking lot job. I doubt it was planted.
Well...it must be old as the nearest water is 5o miles away.

stevepaa 12-10-2009 10:05 AM

about a million years old . go find some more.

Looks like something that could shut down a job site.

Umm...yeah...we didn't exactly bring it to anyone's attention.

futuresoptions 12-10-2009 10:29 AM

On pawn stars they said that each inch of tooth after the gum line meant around 15ft length of the shark... looks like yours is in great condition and worth over a grand...

Jeff Higgins 12-10-2009 10:35 AM

Make a necklace out of it. It will go with your liesure suit.

VenezianBlau 87 12-10-2009 10:44 AM

The condition of yours compares very well with these...

Megateeth.com Museum quality Megalodon teeth and fossil shark teeth

Keep digging!!!

i love excavations!!! you never know what you will find.

i have found antique marbles, bottles, etc. in elpaso, texas we found an entire uniformed soldier buried with his rifle. effen awesome.

we shut down excavations when we find anything. you find an ancient priivy (outhouse) and we tape off the hole.

HardDrive 12-10-2009 11:02 AM
