Brimstone Quadracycle – a Hot Rod Quad from Brimstone Cycles

Schumi 12-11-2009 09:23 AM

The rear end of that thing will have serious bumpsteer problems.

and 0-120 in 6? How about 0 to 100mph and back to 0 in less than 10?
Shifter karts are your friend...

porsche4life 12-11-2009 09:29 AM

Schumi you need to bring a shifter kart down to OK for me to play with...

Rusty Heap 12-11-2009 09:42 AM

0 - 100 - 0

AC cobra in about 13 seconds, dodge viper in 14's............both weigh over ten times the weight of a shifter kart!

power to weight ratio is a beautiful thing.

Mrmerlin 12-11-2009 09:59 AM

if this machine can accelerate that fast you will probably fall off of it, as it comes from under you.
It needs a better seating position

we sold our last shifter last year after I nearly killed myself in it. long story...

I'm working on getting another 125, but the Porsche track car project is taking precedence.

Replace the handlebars with a wheel and put some sidepanels on it and you might get my interest...

svandamme 12-11-2009 11:26 AM

looks pointless to me...4 wheels, but no steering wheel...
design wise, i don't see how it could beat a car designed with the same weight/engine...
maybe it can technically corner as fast as the car would... but i bet the poor sod at the handlebars won't be able to hold on, and then he'll wish he was in the car...

ok, maybe he will beat the driver of the car in bragging rights, when the topic of raw flesh on tarmac comes up... Since obviously i expect that whoever buys that, probably won't even wear full leather , at most a helmet , regular jeans and a t-shirt...

Meh...try strapping yourself to a Chrysler Tomahawk if you want some "real" excitement!

i love how they talk about that piece of fugly as if it actually is something that looks good or is technically something that makes sense.

Chocaholic 12-11-2009 02:32 PM

All he needs is Mr. Greenjeans along side. . .

Damn, I'm getting old. That is Captain Kangaroo in the video, isn't it?

Gogar 12-11-2009 02:52 PM

IMO the only person who wouldn't look like a douche on that thing is Jay Leno.

Only because he looks like a douche all the time.

I still don't get Jay Leno. About all i can say for him is that he's better than Conan O'brien, which is saying virtually nothing.

I miss Johnny Carson...

Can't afford a Chrysler Tomahawk?

Easy...buy the Chinese knockoff:

Yeah you're not picking up what I'm laying down. If you see Jay Leno on a Honda Dream or a Bourget, or in a 928 or a SMART car, you can recognize his true passion for the vehicle, not the stereotype surrounding it. That's why, if I saw him on this vehicle or that stupid Can-Am three wheeler thing, I might think twice, as opposed to the leather-clad beret-wearing stockbroker I'm more likely to see on it.

Slap some Ground Hawgs on that thing and I'll play with it.
