Well, didn't get anything for the freezer this trip.... But had a great time... I went with my best friend (who is a 911 owner) and his two sons... I had made some homemade chorizo and link sausage and we got to cookout and eat off of that this weekend... My bud had made some awesome beef jerky (Probably the best I have ever tasted) for the trip and we munched on that as well... Didn't see any deer out, but did see a large group of hogs, just didn't have a clean shot.. The highlight of the trip was the strawberry funk juice... Take some fresh milk and some Strawberry Nesquick mix and put it in a coffee peculator with funky residue left over from the 70's he he the sound of hearing my bud gagging was almost worth not shooting anything... we laughed and laughed... probably on of the best hunts ever...

Glad you had a great time! The last few times i went "hunting" i really just went to hang out at the hunting camp and listen to the stories of the old timers.

Band-tailed Pigeon starts Sat for me...7 day season 2 per day..still have Az and Cal archery deer tags left till end of year. Then start the whole mess over again w/ archery Javalina on Jan. 1. Good Luck if you go back out.

Hope to get a couple more hunts in before the end of the season, really not looking for trophies this year, mainly meat... I have really gotten into making sausage/chorizo/jerky as of late...
