Google Favorite Places coming to window near you | Relevant Results - CNET News

Google took the top searched businesses in their Local Business Center and sent them a window sticker. You can put it in your storefront window. People walking by can see that you are (a) on Google, and (b) can scan a barcode into their iPhone/etc and get all of the online info about you, including hours, rates, reviews, etc. So, someone walking down Main St. sees your store afterhours (night, weekend). Instead of having to remember "hey, that place looked interesting, I gotta remember to look them up when I get home" they can just scan the barcode right there and learn everything immediately.

Would be really interesting for certain shops...but it's creepy.
