High comedy at SuperCuts...

Yesterday I went to get a haircut. I saw a new place called Sport Clips. A plasma screen with ESPN in front of each chair. Sounds good! I get picked by some trollish looking woman with the nastiest phlegmy cough ever. She is SICK. Sounds like her words are gurgling up through virus laden snot. Nice... I take my seat, she puts the drape around my neck then sneezes on the back of my head! Damn! I got up, removed the sheet and left. So I decide to head to my regular spot, Supercuts.

The local Supercuts is largely run by Vietnamese. One woman, Tran, has such a thick accent it's hard to follow a conversation. I'm not sure if she's celibate or she's just a Virgo. Anyway, as she's cutting my hair she tells me my sideburns are not even. I tell her not to worry about it. Her response? "I no worry! This not fancy haircut. This SuperCut!" The only other customer in the shop was a smoking hot woman there with her very young son. The woman was tall and this wearing a tight sweater showing off her store bought boobies. We could see the lady's husband pull up in his car to pick them up. After she left, Tran said; "Such a shame! Pretty lady with nice big titties and she settle for man driving a Honda!"

Don't know why I went to the other place. Tran cracks me up!

I went to sport clips once. I hated it. The young girl was trying so hard to flirt/make conversation.... I likened it to Hooters for hair...always trying to hard.

Those folks at Super Cuts (and other cheapie chains) messed my hair up one to many times. I go to a local salon. Cost twice as much, but well worth it.

I've tried the local chain place a few times over the years but they only seem to know the "Curious George" cut, as my wife calls it. "bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, how's that?"

Between the crappy cut and having to listen to the "stylists" talking about what theydid the night before/boyfriends/parents/pets I just can't tolerate it.

I make time to visit the small town barber shop where they have car magazines and talk about manly things.

I go to Norm the barber in an old fashioned barber shop. Been cutting my hair for the last 19 years so I don't have to tell him how to do it. We talk sports and motorcycles. Women don't come in there.

My one experience at Supercuts was with a very intoxicated woman who cut me three times. My hair looked like it had been cut........by a drunk. Go figure. Local Mastercuts used to be my place of choice until I got a 6'5" trannie that didn't do a very good job of hiding his/her manhood. Rather disturbing to have that person with their hands on me. Now I go to a local place, same guy, more money but no blood or trannies.

I go to a good old fashioned barber shop. Mike knows me well as I have been getting my monthly haircut there for the last 20 years. He grew up in Watkins Glen so we always talk about the track, porsches, his cabin, when my son was last in for a haircut...blah, blah, blah. I'll go there until either him or I die.

I go to a Supercuts. My local one is staffed mostly by 20 somethings without much direction in life, or the the wives of local high-earners.

The girl who usually cuts my hair, Lena, is six months from finishing her accounting degree and is pestering me for a job (though I have no hiring ability). (She's also pretty easy on the eyes...)

I think it's a good mix staff-wise of wisdom and youth. I used to go to the local BoRic's and all of the people there were beat down by life and didn't care anymore. I was very happy when a new place opened up...

I've had some Asian ladies cut my hair, seemed no subject was off limits. I was at times a little suprised by some of the personal questions. I prefer to drive 10 miles to the VA hospital to get a proper flat top from the old salty barbers there.

My wife cuts my hair, because she was always getting pissed when I would get bad haircuts. I went to Supercuts when I did the Locks of Love thing, you get a free haircut, it was worth what I paid for it.

I always go to same barber. If I have an appointment it takes less than 30 mins. Costs 12bucks and he tells me who's guns and bikes are for sale.

I've been going to good ole Lance for the last 20 years. He's showing his age just like I am. He's got a '56 Ford pickup that's all tricked out with a 400 something cubic inch engine in it. He brings it to the barbor shop and parks it in front sometimes. He still charges $8, and I still give him a $3 tip. He always makes a big deal out of the $3.

If you guys are ever in DC when you need a haircut, the Senate barbershop is the best! It's open to the public, but no one knows that. It's like an old school barbershop. I sat next to Biden once while his plugs were being trimmed. Seen just about everyone there. It's cheap too.
