I need some gift ideas for my wife, please.
I am at a loss for my wife's gift this year. Just throw any ideas out there that come to mind, less than $100. That's more than we agreed to spend but she is worth much more to me.
Let me list the ideas tossed out for whatever reason: 1-clothes/lingerie-I usually pick the wrong size or color. She's not one for lingerie. 2-perfume-she doesn't wear it often. Good choice for an "extra" gift, though. 3-makeup/beautystuff-she doesn't wear makeup 4-candy/treats-she isn't into fancy chocolate and those type of things. 5-jewelry-she doesn't wear any but her wedding ring. She mentioned a handheld solitaire game(Nintendo DS?) this morning as something she would like. She likes crossword puzzles and mind testing type games. Thanks,

Less than $100?!? Wow. Where can I find a low-maintenance woman like that?
Got this for the g/f:

Being you're in Michigan, I would get her some red leather (or whatever color is her fave) cashmere-lined gloves with a pair of cashmere socks. You should be able to pull that off for $100 and they will get used regularly. A so-so cashmere sweater can be had for around $100.

She's kind of a farm girl.
In fact, the first day I met her she was wearing bib overalls and looked hot.

Some ladies UGG sheep-lined slippers (probably slightly more than $100):

Wayne,
She sounds fantastic. Low maintenance and hot farmgirl! Good for you. So I have come to the conclusion that women like "thoughtfulness" in their gifts. Example: my wife likes to take photos on an amateur basis. Last year I got her a photo safari of oregon ghost towns. It was perfect, she got away from the family for some quality alone time, got to play her hobby, and got to interact with interesting adults. My advice is to think a little outside the box if at all possible. The least expensive and coolest gift I am giving this year? My wife loves to travel and if she can travel cheaply, all the better. Naturally, I got her a subscription to Budget Travel magazine. She will love it. Larry |

My wife and I usually give each other nice gifts and spend $400 or so each, but this year she said lets set a $50 limit and use the balance towards a extra vacation. I have spent hours thinking of what to get her and had no idea till last week. She loves birds and keeps all the feeders full but one thing she does not have is a nice Birdhouse. After checking the prices on nice ones I realized I would need to build one to honor our agreement. I have 4 days to finish and only went over the $50 limit by a few bucks.

Thanks for the ideas so far, guys.
I just finished ordering a subscription to her favorite magazine. I never even thought about that. duh. Is that a women's watch? Not being a smartaZZ, I never thought about a Rolex for a woman. it doesn't look dainty

Perhaps a snap-on 3/8" drive ratchet and a socket set? I'm sure a wife would appreciate that....

Well, I've tried to convince her "BJ's first, expensive gifts to follow", but that method isn't working. We'll see what happens with the "payment in advance/retainer" method.

If I were to show my wife the watch and the Uggs she would choose the Uggs. She is very practical, its great.
