A great simple salad.
 

Sorry.... No pics cause I eated it.

Had this at a little italyun place in Play Del Rey a few weeks ago. Decided to make it at home tonight.

Onion - I had white, but vidallia or red could work too. Sliced thin.
Tomatoes - I had small vine ripe ones, but you could use larger. Also sliced thin and laid on top of the onions.

Four or five anchovy fillets laid across the tomatoes.

Salt
Pepper
Olive Oil

That's it. just get a little bit of anchovy in each bite.

I am blown away by the simplicity and the flavor.

Making some for Christmas day dinner now too.

Anyone have any anchovy recommendations?

Yup... Use them as bait to catch a better fish....
