More Craigslist Fun - 2000 911 Turbo $24,000 OBO
The 996 turbo didn't come out until 2001, did it?
This one got my blood pressure up at first but it's almost certainly a scam. Even if I'm wrong about turbos being offered in 2000, other red flags are that the price is so low that it undercuts the market but isn't so low that it raises alarms with people unfamiliar with the market. That combined with absurdly bad pictures, a desperate plea for offers, and no phone number means it's probably not legit. You're likely to get some sort of automated email response inviting you to send money to some US serviceman stationed overseas and he'll ship the car to you as soon as the check clears. Oh well. The dreams of a full leather turbo 996 for the low twenties will have to wait 'til spring. |
Linky winky?

"However I need a bigger vehicle because we are planning to expand the family within a couple of years."
Then why not wait a couple years to sell? |
Just the term "Turbo Carrera" sticks out to me. I think (and I could be wrong, as I'm not well versed in the old oil-burners) that that badging only appeared on the 930's first year.
One of two things could be going on, assuming it's not a scam: 1) It could be an aftermarket turbo. I'd expect anyone who had one would be playing-up the custom work though. 2) It could be an ignorant owner. A lot of people think silly things like all Porsches have turbos. The price is dead-on for a pristine Carrera of that year. |
Doesn't look like a scam to me....

+1 "However I need a bigger vehicle because we are planning to expand the family within a couple of years. "
I thought I can read English but I could be wrong ... Nobody mentioned that you can read the license plate number. ;) |
