He sure had a ton of junk cars. There isn't really one vehicle I would "love" to have.

Looking at his bike collection and the majority of his car fleet--that guy has piss-poor taste.

Hmm. . . . . . eclectic.

Did NSX come in blue from the factory?

I would consider the following as desirable:

1971 DeTomaso Pantera GTS
1989 Bentley Turbo R
1952 Ford Speedster
1981 DeLorean DMC
1974 DeTomaso Pantera
1903 Olds Carriage

...if the price were right....

There's some cool stuff there, but a lot of weirdo junk, too.

Our resident Pelican convicted felon car collector has much finer taste in cars.

I've got to believe this was a guy who knew nothing about cars, who believed (maybe after watching Barret Jackson?) that they could be a good investment, and his car buyer scammed him. The classic American stuff didn't look factory original (valuable) to me. I wonder if the replicas were presented as the real thing to someone who didn't know/care, but was watching the values of his inventory on paper. Love the burning skull on the '94 Impala. That big block '68 SS El Camino though...

That's local to me, I intend to go if I'm not stuck traveling for business.

I'm going to take a few dollars and bid on one of the 356 replicas. I doubt I get it, but for the money I intend to bid with if I do win it I can't lose.

If I make it I'll note down the amounts some of them go for.

Anything in particular you guys want noted?

I'd go for the NSX, the '95 Jaguar, '90 BMW, the Fiat, the Mercedes or '00 BMW because they'd probably sell for cheap. But I'm thinking more about daily drivers.

Uh, anyone else have a problem with this? If he is guilty, I am all for selling off his stuff, but shouldn't they be required to wait for the conviction?

two different things Emcon. The ponzi part is irrelevant of the bankruptcy, and its the bankruptcy is forcing the sales of his cars.
