Head Gasket Leaking Oil?

My 4Runner with 225K on it is starting to slow down...shifting in freezing temps is problematic.

Considering purchase of a friend of a friends car that was diagnosed as the head gasket leaking oil. I've never heard of such a thing. Is this a misdiagnosis? it's an Audi A8.

A blown H.G. will start out by having to add coolant on a real regular basis....then too smelling it at your exhaust...and finally in your oil..............

Shaun,
Having owned (and loved) several A8,s I can tell you an A8 with any problem is not a car you want to get involved with. Repair costs are astronomical and finding someone that knows the car is impossible. The oil leak is likely the valley cover under the intake that should only cost 5-6k to fix

Could you find a worse car to work on? Audi's are meant to be driven under warranty. Then scrapped or sold to some unsuspecting loser. Don't be that guy...

Mileage, price, and year?
