Font Question
How does one type with Umlauts? Do you need special font?
|
Compose in Word & use Insert>Symbol.... Then you can copy & paste the text anywhere.

Bill, on a Mac keybord, it's option-u and then the letter. ü, ö, ä

GÖT IT!!! Thanks Guys, learned something new today....

Or you can open up the character map utility.
Under XP Start ->All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Character Map Under Vista or Win 7 Start (globe), type "character map" in the 'Search programs and files' and launch it. |
Thanks Dave, that works great also!!!
|
Cüle!

FYI, not all fonts contain accented characters. Something to consider when choosing a font that may need to be set in a foreign language.
|
How does Dave know that trick? Italian doesn't use Umlauts. ;)
|
Ah! I've been wondering how to do ñ.
