New Fork!!!

Matthews Z7...Oh yeah...332 fps (less than that w/ the logs I'm shooting). 30" axle to axle. Trophy Ridge drop away rest, Flash Point sights w/ light gathering pins. 5 arrow quiver. Set at 70 lbs w/ 80% let off. Next week it gets it's cherry popped in Arizona for javalina and deer.

Target bow? Does she shoot in a league?

awesOME!!!
that is my next rig. just cant drop that kind of coin right now. my switchback XT will have to do. your backyard looks better than mine to shoot in. hell, you could practice for shooting carp with a half fill plastic bottle.

we need to get together. i will be in unit 33, jan 7. couse deer. fish and game lady told me there were over 200 javalina tag remaining and they are now OTC/. who know? love your carbon express maxima hunters. i cant seem to break my ghetto goldtip hunter's..plus i drive tacks.

PM you cell number...if i score early, maybe i can come to where ever you are.

good luck bro. very brave switching equipment so close to a hunt.

so how is the draw? what bow did you have? peaks? valley? does it stop tight at your anchor? i need that bow. i almost commited on a reezen 7, but i knew the Z7 was on the way.

That group showing is arrow numbers 21-28 thru the bow. Shoots great right out the box! Pro shop sold 2 others while I was in there. It's a lotta grip, but this is my year...determined to take an elk somewhere this season. Had a Legacy for the last 4 years...shoots well, but has quite a bit of recoil compared to the Z7. Very smooth drawing all the way thru the cycle. Z7 is alot quieter too. Its set at 70 lbs w/ 80% letoff, legacy was 65 w/ 65% letoff. Shorter is usually less forgiving, not so w/ this one. You'll probably see less difference going from the Switchback. I'm out there opening weekend, I'll send my number, will let you know how I do.

BTW...maybe get a Central Cal pig hunt in late winter/spring? Maybe George too (Aigel)? We'll talk. Jim

OPTICS OPTICS OPTICS! a lil time spent behind a spotting scope can make it all come together fairly quickly.

sounds great!

the legacy is a great bow. my shoulder needs the high let off. i had to get rid of my old PSE because of it.

jim, i put in for a "Chip shot" elk unit every year, in NM. i bet i have a vacancy on my four hunter tag. you are welcome to come along..if we draw. i drew once, and we were 100% on big elk. rifle tho...from now on, all elk come down with arrows.

I like forks too, but i just never learned to use one.

It's something i'd still like to do.
