Dogs that CAN see sometimes have problems.
Friend had a station wagon. When they went anywhere, opened the back side door and the dug (Buddy also) jumped in, on the seat then into the back. Friend got a NEW car, a 4 DR sedan. Went for the first family ride. Buddy jumped in, on the seat then BAM! smack into the inside of the back window. Buddy had good eyes, too. So, don't move the furniture around and he'll be OK. Won't know the difference. |
Thanks guys. I'm feelin' better now. he and I will just go with the flow.

My little buddy (R.I.P. Roat) was bling & couldn't hear very well, but was still a happy puppy. As elwood-914 said, these guys adapt very well... Just keep loving him & he will be fine..

Teach him to play guitar.
Then he can be Blind Buddy Ray. My girlfriend has a blind cat. She gets around pretty good for the most part. |
GOOD LUCK BUDDY!!! GO BOY!
i would go alert level orange, keeping the dog safe..like out of the street. |

My dog Max, who died earlier this month, went deaf last year. We didn't even realize it for awhile. I just thought he was getting old, stubborn and chose to ignore me talking to him. It sure didn't seem to bother him. I think Buddy will do just fine.

My daughter's dog (I say that but he's more mine than hers) went completely blind almost two years ago.
He bumps into things sometimes but gets around well. He is a very happy loving dog. Dogs can get along just fine without eyesight. |
I know how you feel. My two ferrets (Cinnamon and Spice) were put down last week due to cancer. They were sisters and were almost 9 years old. I miss them very much, as does our Golden Retriever Daisy since they were her buddies!
