In wintertime we have one going all the time as it's good way to beat "cabin fever"

Just got a card table for such a purpose, great winter thing. Once did a 1K piece in a (long) sitting.

I used to do puzzles as a kid. Loved them ... but didn't really know what to do with the finished product when I was done.

Did a few a couple of years for my daughter (disney :) ) and put them in frames .... but haven't done any since ... that time .... cuz ....

So what do you do with them when you have finished?

DARISC 12-29-2009 06:55 PM

Never been a jigsaw puzzle fan (they puzzle me) - but I'm amused by the concept of this one. :)

I just heard a funny one.

Female: I can't figure out this puzzle.

Male: What does the picture on the box look like?

Female: A tiger.

Male: Put the Frosted Flakes back in the box.

At my ex-inlaws lake house they had a table with a lip set up just for some huge 1000+ piece jigsaw puzzle. They would spread out a new puzzle each year when they opened the house in the spring. The box would be put away so you couldn't use it for reference. It was an ongoing group project thruout the season.

One year ex and I ordered a puzzle of a photo of the lake house itself...created a stir as the season went on and people began to realize what it was. Ultimately hung on the wall there.

Usually I just take a picture of the finished puzzle and then break it down again. Save it for the next rainy day.

Sapporo Guy 12-30-2009 09:15 AM

Having a running project might be a good idea! :)

Too bad that I'm not the type to do the same puzzle again.

Do you glue/frame them?

onewhippedpuppy 12-30-2009 09:20 AM

I hate puzzles, too much ADD for me to..........hey look something shiny!

VINMAN 12-30-2009 10:32 AM

Certain puzzles I might frame. One that I framed, was a 3000 piece puzzle of Neuschwanstein castle. That was one of the toughest one I ever did.

This is the exact pic of the puzzle

I have a running/on-going project in the garage. LOL

I do like the concept of a group activity...never thought of that.

We have a closet full of 1000 pc puzzles - used to enjoy doing them. We still pull one out occasionally. It's a fun family project when the kids come home for a visit.
