anyone hung over?
tried a new approach this year. kept it simple, and stayed at home...made a cheese pizza with arugala, drizzled with some great italian olive oiled. (i carried that stuff in my backpack for 3 weeks!) drank a bottle of chianti..finished it all off with a super thick, fresh papaya, and vanilla bean slurry drizzle with creme of cassis (spell?)..all quiet-like with my wife. i feel great!
this morning, got up, coffee...some french toast made out of some leftover panatoni bread... gonna toss my compost pile, and shoot some arrows...(oooo, that sound very cryptic, and naughty....) tomorrow is our anniversary. then i leave wednesday for AZ..archery hunt. i didnt think it through, getting married during hunting season to a woman with a birthday, during hunting season. |
Not hung over, DAMN happy about it.

No booze = No hang over
We took the kids to a outdoor newyears party at our city hall. They have a kids performer followed by fireworks at 10pm and then free rides on a midway. The kids had fun which makes me happy. I am quite happy to see the end of 2009. |
bean up since 5am. at dawn we ATTACK! just another day. great po po platter, home before crazys got loose, and not (1) gunshot to be heard at 12.
8 minutes after 12 rolled over and went to sleep. |
Made it til 9:30. Didn't even finish the Champagne. Woo-Hoo, we are party animals!!!
PS. I didn't think anyone ate that panatoni stuff. You are indeed an enigma! |
No booze, one clip at midnight, in bed by 12:30 slept until 8 and feel great! Just another day. Roast pork, masht taters and kraut for dinner. No black eyed peas. I live in PA now. Kielbasi(a) for lunch.
It was weird not playing a gig last night. |
One thing about not drinking...headaches really piss me off because I did nothing to deserve one.
|
Mild hangover this morning.
We had our traditional bonfire out in the snow. Drank plenty of custom beer, a bottle of Port, smoked way too many cigars, ate several meatball sandwiches (whole crock pot), and 5 pounds of shrimp. It lasted until 2:30 this morning. I was up at 9:30 cleaning up from what my son calls the "Alcoholocost" . It was nice and warm by the fire...very enjoyable, watching the "Blue moon" peek in and out of the clouds. |
I pulled the bullets and propellant out of a bunch of .223 cases so my girlfriend could make some noise with the AR.
Not quite the same as blasting off live rounds like the country guys can do(hey i live in a city), but she seemed to enjoy herself. Then we, well, you know... Woke up today and we, you know... No hangover here. :) |
Not me. I had a few Leinenkugels and was in bed a bit after 12.
This morning, we picked out and dropped off 3 big bags of toys and kids clothes to the GoodWill store and then went to the grocery store. Making steak on the grill for me and chicken alfredo for the wifey for supper tonight. |
I have not had a hangover since last century. I learned a long time ago when to quit the intake to avoid the pain.
|
Nope. Pretty subdued night last night. 4 couples plus some children, 5 bottles of wine/champagne split over 5 hours.

All My Rowdy Friends Have Settled Down
No hangover here....
I never in a million years thought I'd ever make it, but I've lived to the point where I am living out a laid back "Bocephus" song! YouTube - All My Rowdy Friends (Have Settled Down) Lyrics: All my rowdy friends have settled down And they seem to be more into laid back songs Nobody wants to get drunk and get loud everybody just wants to go back home I myself have seen my wilder days and I have seen my name at the top of the page But I need to find a friend just to run around But nobody wants to get high on the town And all my rowdy friends have settled down And I think I know what my father meant when he sang about a lost highway And ol' George Jones I'm glad to see is finally gettin' straight And Waylon's stayin' home and lovin' Jessi more these days And nobody wants to get drunk and get loud And all my rowdy friends have settled down [ mandolin - fiddle - steel ] And the hangovers hurt more than they used to do And cornbread and ice tea's took the place of pills and ninety proof And it seems like none of us do things quite like we used to do But nobody wants to get high on the town And all my rowdy friends have settled down Yeah and I think I know what my father meant when he sang about a lost highway And Johnny Cash don't act like he did back in '68 And Kris he is a movie star and he's moved off to LA And nobody wants to get drunk and get loud And all my rowdy friends have settled down Yeah me and my rowdy friends done right it on down  |
No hangover here. Had my share of whiskey and then some. Won the poker gamer last night too.
|
The wife and I went to a party for the first time in years. I didn't drink too much but my wife is hating life :D
|
Bigtime! Oh, wait, hung over. Nope. Haven't had a drop since 1982 (and, loving it!)
I thought that was a weird question. |
working on it.
bubbles earlier in the evening, then some Riesling, now some Pastis/Ricard |
Hung over not me. Don't like the price of drinking to much.
