Sig P226. unfired..how much $$

co-worker just wants to unload it. he said, never fired. i dont know if that means he never fired it, or it has never ever been fired. he said, he may ask $650 for it. i cannot google "weapons" sites on my work machine. is this a good price? i have one already that my bro gave me. i have no price datum.

TIA, cliff

Good price if it's new in box unfired. I have one in .40. Love it.

If it is clean and in good shape, i.e., no scratches, scrapes, dings, etc. I really don't care if it has been fired. Most pistols need a couple hundred rounds through them to smooth things out anyway. Might as well let someone else spend the money on ammo to break it in.

Depends on several things. There are many versions of the P226 - SCT, Equinox, Navy, etc. Mine has a rail and night sights. What generation is it? W. German or New Hampshire? Is the SIG logo engraved or laser-etched? $650 would be ok for a NIB railed version with night sights and two hi-cap. mags in 9mm, .40 or .357SIG. If it's a bare bones model with bar/dot sights, $500-$550 would be good.

$650 is way too much IMO. $550 would be far more reasonable. For $650 you can just buy one yourself at the gunshop, brand new.

I have one of these in .357Sig and .40S&W that you swap the barrels to make the switch. I bought it used (refurbished by the factory) with 2 mags, both barrels, in the original box for $750 at my local gun shop last spring.
