A little cloudy in N. Phoenix now too. No worries. I'm only expecting rain on my ride to Vegas on Monday. Been years since I rode in real rain, once did 600 miles in a torrential downpour. After that, I can handle anything.

I realize you're not going to melt in the rain and it's just a light rain right now, but it is a slight PITA to ride in the wet stuff. And the already crappy driving skills of the general populace completely disappears when you throw in this little challenge. Keep the shiny side up.

I really enjoy riding in CA, as the lane-splitting makes it very nice to get through traffic on a bike and I find the cagers are generally respectful, far more so than on the east coast. Of course, I'm loaded down with bags today, so I'll be a pretty wide load. But once I drop all my stuff off at the hotel, I'll be able to get around pretty fast. Still haven't had to pay for parking anywhere on my bike.

I'm in Pasadena now, about to head out for meetings all day. Rode through the worst wind I've ever seen last night around Indio and Palm Springs. Didn't think I was gonna make it. Denis, sorry I forgot to call. I had a lot of work to catch up on when I got here. See everyone at Molly's today 5:45-6:00ish?

Hey Rick, what route did you take over the hill to the 101 fwy? It was odd, but I ended up right behind you on Laurel Canyon and Moorpark. I took Laurel up and over, and didn't see nor hear one motorcycle -- at least not like yours.

Anyway, yeah, it was fun. Good times.

He went over Laurel Canyon, I was with him to Mulholland.
