If true it is very exciting - think of the possibilities! Not killing folks but for controlled blasts in mining, for a new type of combustion engine? Heck, maybe even a type of rocket fuel?

Personally I think it is a crock - in order to get that sort of pop you would need a thermo nuclear reaction of a matter/antimatter introduction...

Freeze the video at 3:21 and you can see the watermelon exploding in 360 degrees. This would not be consistent with an explosive being taped to one side. More like an explosive buried in the middle of the melon.

So, if real, this is more powerful than PETN? I know a tiny amount of PETN can do a lot of damage..
