Carbonite backup

Anyone using it? I downloaded the free 15 day trial and am a day into what'll take two or three days untill the initial backup is done. From what I've read and a few people I've asked, seems a reasonably priced and no brainer approach. Thought I'd ask here before I buy it.

I've had great luck with Acronis backup software...it is not remote storage like Carbonite...

It's great. I've had it about 9 months and my computer crashed about six months ago. Yeah, it takes a few days to do the initial backup, but after that you don't even see it happening. It does a really good job of backup after that and is invisibe. It doesn't handle old emails very well, and needs attention on a little managing of backup file info on restore, but not bad. It has backups glitches on stuff like deleted stuff in your "deleted files" yeah it backs that up too. But all in all, I think you're nuts to not have Carbonite or something similar. I'm in a brush fire area and the knowledge that my computer is backuped off site is great. Restored all family pics perfectly. Tech support on initial backup was good too, cause I had a few stupid computer question.

Make sure you understand it won't backup your programs, only your files. If your computer is destroyed by fire, crash, whatever you will have to reestablish the programs so you can access your files. The nice thing is you can do this with another computer with your user name and passord.

I use Carbonite. Good service for a relatively small yearly fee.

They have an iPhone app which allows you to grab files from your backup if needed.

I have over 400 gigs on their server. Took months to upload.

I've setup a network drive and my PC backs up to the network every night. The Network drive backs itself up to another network drive, about 3 hours later.
