How about the 2002 Nissan Altima
From what I hear its an impressive performer. I went to the dealer today to take a closer look and its lines are very pleasing to the eye. The dual exhaust was a nice touch to the Se 3.5. 240 hp, 6.28 0-60 times sounds like the wife may be getting a new car sooner than she thinks. What does everyone else think about it ?....TargaEuro

I think it's nice, but Nissan seems to be overestimating their horsepower numbers lately. With that said, I think its a great car, though I do think the rear end looks ugly.

I personally like the car: Nissan has always been known for a sporty image. Remember when the original Maxima was toted as a 4DSC (4 door sports car)? Seems like the Altima's taken over that title. Love the commercial where the ALtima's coming out of a reverse slide. They have made some great commercials too!
They could loose the Altezza taillights: looks too tendy for me. (Can you say, "Let's all jump on the bandwagon?") Not too sure of the build quality either. (Wife had an old Sentra: always breaking down!) Just my $0.42. -Zoltan. ------------------ PCA NNJR My Toy: |

If the 0 to 60 times hold water than I think its a great buy for the money. It also comes very well equipped for mid twenties. Do any other manufacturers offer anything better for the money? Audi's new A4 is decent but not as powerfull unless you go for the 3.0 quattro then the price tag hits the high twenties to low thirties. Ill take the Nissan for a ride and report back....TargaEuro

i think you summed it up when you said, "wife may be getting a new car sooner than she thinks."
they definitely are "woman's cars" i wouldn't want one. |

You may miss out on many good things in life. What if people think your 911 is a womans car, do you sell it in fear people may see you in it.

well, that wouldn't happen. i decide, in my opinion what i think is a "woman's car" this is not dictated to me by what other people think.
it is almost like one of your senses, some guys have the ability to recognize and avoid "chick cars" and the altima fits the bill. along with jettas, bmw3series, miata's etc. i know all people are different, i saw a guy earlier today who was wearing shiny patent leather shoes and a coat with a very large puffy sheepwool collar. different strokes...... |

BMW 3-series a women's car? I doubt it. I agree with you on the Miata being a chick car though, I was close to buying one but I just knew I'd be ridiculed forever by my friends if I bought it. They are amazing to drive though, incredible handling and the best gearshift I have ever experienced.
