So Many Porsche
Hi guys I am working in Doha Qatar at the moment and just noticed in the parking garage at my apartment are a 911 Carrera, Cayman S, Boxster S, Cayenne GTS and two Cayenne Turbos...... Thats way too many P-cars in one garage and the weird thing is the 911, Cayman and Boxster are all metallic grey with burgundy leather interiors must have been a fire sale.....

Doesn't Qatar (sp?) own a lot of Porsche stock?

pwd yes indeed they do and I believe that 10% ot total Porsche sales come into Qatar, amazing really when the population is only abut ~400,000 Qatari's and yes Geronimo having ooodles of cash helped. I saw an amazing sight here a few months back when I was out one night, a baby blue Lambo Murcieago and a barbie pink one sitting side by side waiting for a light to change, bth driven by young guys I mean like 20 ish. It is shameful what they do here to cars import them then get them re-painted in the most awful colours......

I travel to Kuwait on business several times per year.
Some exotics, and lot's of Porsches. I mentioned something about them and was told, "oh... those are just toys for the kids." And to think that I had Legos as a kid.

Lot's of 'em around here too...
Yesterday I saw a Boxster, several 996s, a 997, a half dozen 356 coupes, couple of Speedsters, a Roadster, an early 911 (68?), a 3.2 Carrera, 914, and a real RS Lightweight (73). And no, there was no show or event. It is amazing what comes out to play when the weather is nice.
