Another good meal at Dueller's...made it myself this time: Brisket cooked with....
Sweet potatos, caramelized onions, dried apricots and plums in a honey/balsamic/ginger sauce in a dutch oven. Green beans as a side with yeast rolls. Beaujelais noveaux wine.
Vanilla ice cream with raspberry/balsamic vinegar topping and chicory coffee for desert. |

Hey - what does Chicory coffee taste like? Bear in mind, that I don't know what Chicory tastes like - LOL! angela |
Sounds much more cultured than the chicken & dumplings I am supposed to make tomorrow for lunch. My wife has a Vietnamese friend coming over, and that's what she requested.

Cafe du Monde sells a chicory/coffee mix as grounds in a can that is supposed to be pretty good. I always liked their coffee and beignets, but never had them when I was not pretty hammered on booze. |

Someone gave me the bottle of raspberry balsamic vinegar and recommended trying it over vanilla ice cream. Actually a very good combo believe it or not. |
