Tony George is gone, its about time
 

IMO Tony George did more to screw up open wheel racing in N. America than any man alive. He had the crown jewel - the Indy 500 and he started his own leauge ,IRL to compete with CART and then banned all the big names and big teams from competition at his track. He's a moron and should be slapped for what he did. the 500 sucked for 1.5 decades and will probably never see its former glory

It's too bad Champ Car / CART couldn't last until he was history. Maybe someone will be able to resurrect it in some form. IRL sucks balls.

Riddle me this-didn't CART do to USAC what the IRL did to CART? And how many czars did CART go through?

Tony's ego got in the way of good management. He was put in charge of something that was way over his head, and he could'nt get out. His IRL team might fold, no sponsors, this year. That would be ironic. Racing, in any form, is not what it used to be.
