Oh Haha 01-25-2010 05:55 PM

You're nuts,Bill.

But that's what it takes to build a successful business.

Mike P. and I were discussing making a few road trips to your store next summer.

Like djm said-I wish I had the cojones to start a business.

Good luck,Bill.

You better! Next time you guys ask for my driving directions I'm going to include a drive by my place at least or a stop.... LOL! Seriously, don't forget to invite me on your up-coming drives.

I am a restaurant consultant / Business Development Manager for a "Broad-line" foodservice Co ( you may already purchase from them) if not, look into partnering with them.

This is a good example of what we do in addition to providing food and ALL other supplies.

One of my functions is getting our customers in touch with industry partners.

From web design, pest control, marketing tools.
and ATMs
I have a national partner with ATM machines (anyone who has a credit card has an ATM card ... not the other way around.)

You can save all the crazy scales of fees and monthly charges associated with credit cards.

The ATM connection is specifically for restaurants.
YOU own the machine. .. purchase outright or lease to own.
the lease is $60 a month ... NO additional extras (other than a roll of paper.)
YOU set the fee (std fee is 1.95)
YOU get ALL of the fee
thats it ... no hidden extras.

That is 2 transactions a day to cover cost. The additional is all $ to your bottom line.

I have customers making good change and providing a service.
You can have a low fee but you can become the local "bank"

Better to cross market with something like
"Use our new ATM and get a free additional scoop or topping"

If the fee was $1.95 the additional scoop (small) or topping wont come close to that in food cost. but the customer has the feeing and can see the retail value of the "freebie"

Before an order is placed you already have 1.95 ... instantly in your bank account

IMHO a credit card (even the service I can provide) is not a good match for an Ice Cream Scoop Shop. The %s just don't work.

PM me if you would like info or if I can be of help
