Kurt Warner Retires
The NFL is a better game because of his career. Storybook beginning that everyone likes to hear. Very humble and patient. Straight up good guy.
And his religious beliefs were never trivial, "thump my chest" baloney. Many players that attempt to praise God do so in a way that can be hard to watch. Not Kurt. Yes, he has more game left but I feel his departure has perfect timing. Certainly a first ballot Hall of Fame player. His stats say so.

I know two former NFL players (both defensive guys, one who played a game against him)...their opinion of Warner carries much more weight than mine:
"Saw the field, then looked at me...it didn't go well." "The Cardinals, right?"

I always liked him, I just thought it was too bad he was associated with the Rams.

He was one of the good guys. He WILL be missed on the field but not around here. He has been a part of the community for years and will continue to be we hope.

Great QB who almost didn't get his chance. I'm glad his career was a big success.

In contrast to another prominent QB, who shall go nameless, I have a lot of respect for Kurt Warner. Class act.
Not they would even think about this but, if the NFL were looking for role models for wayward players... well, you get my point. |

He will be missed. Lets face it, it took a guy like him to get the Rams their first Super Bowl. I loved watching him these last two years, just seems to have the dignity to get a huge amount of respect from all who opposed and all that teamed with him on the field. Heck, he just made if fun to watch!
