Just wasted an hour watching "Mantracker"
 

OK. I saw enough of the commercials for this show so I thought I would give it a try. Am I missing something? The show on tonight had two brother try to avoid "Mantracker" and head to an end point before he "catches" them. The problem is he caught them about 5 times and if he had a gun, they would be dead 5 times. Whats he suppose to do, jump off his horse and tackle them? The team of brother won, I guess. Really dumb show.

Pretty dumb indeed. They need to put real criminals out there with real county mounties.

When he catches them in 5 minutes the show is too short. So he has to get them to give up from exhaustion. That way he can catch them several times and they run and he tracks them down again. He is pretty amazing at finding clues. It is like Butch Cassidy & the Sundance kid, he just keeps showing up.

With the camara crew following the fugitives, it can't be too hard to spot them when they are fleeing.

But withou the camera crew, you wouldn't see what the fugitives are doing, and thus, there would be now show.

If I were on that show, I would do the following:
- Hide out at the starting point, and wait for Mantracker to pass.
- Follow him until nightfall.
- Steal his horses and dash to the finish.

Alternatively, I would build a hang gilder from the skills I learned from Man vs. Wild, then climb up a mountain and fly to the finish line. It is entirely plausible... ;)

Or something like that.
