my run in with a complete fool at work. a mechanic.

i had to drop my work truck off for some preventative maintenence. the man that runs the shop appears heavily medicated. i handed him the paperwork, he looks at it, and proceeds to rip me a new butthole (complete with foot stamping and hand waving. pretty funny actually). he didnt really yell, but he got all red in the face, and puckered up, with deep breathing exercises. he lectured and said, "you put the wrong vehicle number down!"
"i did?"
"yes, if we enter the number down like that, the system wont take it!"
"ok, show me"
"you wrote down, 00700-5542"
"yes, so sorry!, show me and i will make sure i get it right next time"
"you have to put it down as 7005542! dont confuse us here!"

i apologized again, and left. he has me by the balls. i cannot give him any lip, because he can make my truck disappear, and i will be working from a bicycle. a mechanic mumbled as i left..."imagine my entire day, i have to deal with that dcik".

i may never see my rig ever again..i cracked my windshield also...maybe i should have just changed the oil myself. sigh.

Oh well. It would suck to be him. Who knows what goes on in his life.

I can be philosophical because this happened to you and not me.

I would think the guy would know that you have access to high explosives. :)

I would simply smile to myself that I am smart enough to drop two digits and a dash in my own head.

I think he has something to do with digging big holes through mountains.

Luckily you only have to deal with him occasionally. Think how the other mechanics feel being around him all day.

Sounds like a machinist (and I use that term loosely) we used to have. He tried to tell me the part he just machined didn't match my drawing because the drawing was wrong
