How many EPL fans out there??
I'm sure the UK Pelicans will chime in but how many US followers of the English Premier League are out there??
I've been an Arsenal fan for almost 10 years and, I know, I know, they haven't won anything in 6 years and its tough to compete with Chelsea, Man U and Liverpool fans but I always like the way they play, thought they need some muscle right about now. La Liga and Serie A you can argue may be attracting better skilled players, Barca and Real alone, but the EPL's total package, with a number of Americans playing and with Soccer Channel coverage I enjoy it more than most of all US sports except for the NHL..... Go Gunners!!!! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1265385850.jpg |
I'm a Chelsea fan, have a jersey autographed by about 15 players from the 2002-2003 team.

I've been following Liverpool FC all of my life.
I download MOTD and MOTD2 every week to keep up with the league. MOTD and MOTD2 are the best sports highlight shows ever. |
Fellow Arsenal fan here. I started following the gunners around the time George Graham became manager. I still hurt over the loss to Barcelona in '06.
The problem is, my brother is a typically arrogant Man U fan! BTW, thanks for the inspirational photo. |
Man U fan here...but I also like the Yankees and the Lakers so...

ManU fans are exactly like Yankees fans...anyone can claim to be so, and no one questions it. There's about 1400 ManU fans for every one person who actually grew up following the team because his daddy did. I often wonder if part of their annual budget is giving away free money to anyone who claims to be a ManU/Yankees fan :p Me? I can't stand the EPL, because they're slowly tearing apart MY local team :( Monza, do you follow the Revolution? |

I am not a fan of the whinny Landon Donavan but am happy he is holding his own at Everton so far. |
They didn't lose to us twice in the finals...they were obliterated :p
We've lost the core of our midfield this year to Europe, that stings a bit. The MLS just can't put together a big enough package to compete with even the worst teams over there financially. |

Now I see you are from Houston! your are correct on the massacre, but I again really didnt care too much. I brought a friend to see AC Milan and Chelsea play in a friendly at Gillette Stadium a few years ago. He couldn't believe how big Drogba and the other players were especially the defenders. The size difference between MLS and any European league is night and day. Just think how good a US league could be if half the football and Baseball players played soccer. |
