Rolling a Fattie - Tom '74 911 Style. . .

HA! Got you to click!

I know this will disappoint some, but since I don't smoke or drink, this is my version of a "Fattie". . .

Assemble prepped ingredients and lay out a sheet of Nori:

Add a thin layer of "special" rice and asparagus:

Add thinly sliced Red Pepper (for nice crunch and red color!):

Add homemade Sweet Potato Fries - actually yam, but don't tell (I am in Idaho after all!)

Add Avocado (EVERYTHING tastes better w/Avocado!):

Add some Crab w/a "K" (I'd love to add some "real" fresh fish, but I am landlocked):

ROLL THE FATTIE:

Repeat:

Slice up and enjoy!

Please...........real men don't eat that kinda stuff. You might need a trip to a red state to get something to eat that will stick with ya. The only folks here in Kentucky that eat things like in your pictures drive Subaru's or Prius. And if you want to roll a real fattie, we can handle that too! Come on down to the land of pretty horses & fast women. It will be my treat.

My version is just like that! Amazing.

Well there are slight variations. Instead of Nori, I use a pound of thick-cut bacon woven into a lattice. And instead of the rabbit food, I use another pound of crumbled bacon, two pounds of hot pork sausage, chipotles en adobo, and barbecue sauce. I also throw mine in a smoker all day before serving.

Other than that, though - exactly the same!

excellent! i also love the korean version. tak kwan? uses a pickled radish as one of the flavors. i took some mountian biking once. way better than a clif bar.

HA! Between the farming and rural Mormons, Idaho's about as red as it gets! That said, I do live in the sole blue county in the state and I also drive a Subaru in the winter!

That is funny. I love steak just as much as the next guy, but you gotta round things out once in a while!
