I'm from San Diego and I LOVE In-N-Out, but I have to say that Dick's in Seattle is also the bomb.

five guys is awesome. never order a large order of fries, unless you have 3 people to eat it with you.

Five Guys. For a little bigger chain GoodTimes Dbl. bacon cheeseburger ain't bad either.

Spoiled here in San Marcos. We have Toms, George, and In-N-Out...ranked in goodness.

[QUOTE=TimT;5170453]All American in Massepequa, NY. Not a chain, there is only one location

Dangerous info, GT Precision in Massapequa does all the work on my Porsche.

Zims' in San Francisco.

Oh, right. They went out of business in the 70's. Best burger and shoestring fries, ever. Choco shake in a frozen glass. Open 24/7.

Five Guys is inconsistent. In the DC area, where they started, they're all pretty good. I went one in Houston recently that SUCKED. I can walk to In N Out by my house. Not only do I love their food, I love the fact that they refuse to add a bunch of BS like chicken and salad to their menu. It's burgers, fries and shakes and that's it. Love that. And for some reason, the ones around here are all staffed with the nicest teenagers. As much as I hate everyone, I am usually in a good mood when at In N Out, because the staffers are so nice.

fingpilot 02-06-2010 10:42 PM

Whataburgers in the mid-South are usually pretty good too.

Rick Lee 02-06-2010 10:43 PM

ODDJOB UNO and I had Whataburger last week together. I love them, but there are none very close to my house.

varmint 02-06-2010 11:23 PM

fatburger was the only place to get buffalo for a while. but ultimately could never quite match in-n-out.

RANDY P 02-06-2010 11:30 PM

Fatburger $$$$ and slower. In-N_out hands down if you are looking for cheap and good and a drive thru.

If you want to sit down and get fat that way and have the money? Fatburger.

I actually prefer In N Out- Fatburger is OK but I just ike In N Out.

In-N-Out Double Double Animal Style Well Done.....It doesn't get any better than that!

Joe Ricard 02-07-2010 04:38 AM

I would fly back to SOCAL just for an in N out burger and to eat Mexican food till I burst.

hardflex 02-07-2010 05:04 AM

In and Out Burger with grilled onions and pickles. LOVE IT. Bought the T shirt

I think the name comes from the Original Drive thru design.

Rudd****ers is hardly fast, but decent. There's a bunch to pick from here, Dans (Frans, same stuff), Hut's, Sandy's, but there's probably a hole in wall that is better than all of them, for instance, Nau's Enfield Drug in Austin. It's a blast from the past.

I can't wait to go back to Memphis, Dyer's is the king.

Steak n Shake, IMHO one of the best. Far better than In and Out but unfortunately only in the middle part of the country.
