Face Book virus or worm??

Has anyone received notification of a FB virus or worm. I have received messages from three friends on FB that I sent them a message and have not sent any messages to them. I'm expecting more contacts to be in touch with me and don't want to send out any personal messages w/ FB contacts for fear of the problem being propagated further.

I'm on an Apple Mac Book Pro and have not had anything like this before, awaiting any feedback or advice, this is not freakin joke.

Any freeware available to search for any worms of virus on an Apple?? I have shutdown and rebooted if that makes any difference.

I just looked into anti virus/worm last week for Mac.
After doing some homework looking for freeware I think PC Tools iAntiVirus is the ticket. Have not tried it yet though...

Not a virus or worm, someone hacked your Facebook account. Very common, happens every day.

AV scanner, open source. ClamXav

Does it serve any useful purpose to change password? I have done that but was wondering if it is any help at this point?

Guys, Thanks for the feedback!
