Go disappear in Key West for a year like my brother did after his marriage and business imploded.

Fantastic! These throwback threads are awesome... Thanks for the update!

Just when you think all your options are used up, and it's time to quit, God opens another door/opportunity, and it is up to you to jump onboard....good for you.

I might still have a trick or two up my sleeve!

Wow, Mike, we know all the same folks! If you are interested in 1099 work in UAVs, PM your number and we can chat.

Thanks!

I wish I had seen this thread in 2010.

Meth lab.
Low investment cost, high return.
Very easy learning curve. Almost no barriers to market entry for a startup.

May need to move to Florida.

Seahawk;

Some of the senior guys in Maryland were with me in Hondo, TX., flying a goblin out over the gulf south of Corpus. I used to get asked, but would not live in MD.

Cash;

I actually designed a small UAV 10 years ago to fly over pretty much at treetop level with a sniffer for VOC's and for components of Meth. Successfully demo'd it in three states for state and federal law enforcement. Found lots of stills and meth labs, in and out of town.

The stills were not considered crimes, but rather rural revenue sources for the locals, hence no interest in prosecution.

The problem with identifying meth houses and rural labs was that they immediately became HazMat sites that no one had funds to clean up.

Dead end.

Lots of clients for military and elint/sigint.

And, the country is still here.

God might be saying to absorb the blows, to rid oneself of encumbrances, to attack in the opposite direct (not retreat), that these are your own past failures so learn and recognize them, to go a different route even when more difficult, to strengthen oneself and learn new things in life, and to become a different and better thinker.
To ultimately understand totality better.

Karma.

The work I have in mind could be done remotely or in place at our factory east of Asheville.

Interesting stuff.

I do not understand people romanticizing losing everything and starting over.

I can only assume it has never happened to them.
