Thoughts on the Lincoln MKS?
I've been considering selling off the TT for a sedan, as I've been traveling a lot for work and need the space. I'm 6 ft, and I just can't do the little car thing anymore as a daily driver. While I'd really like an A6 or A8 (can you tell I'm tired of small cars?), I'd have to get an older one to afford it. I really need something newer that I could loan out long enough to keep payments roughly the same. Anyway, my wife and I were on a lot looking at sedans and saw two Lincolns, a Zephyr and an MKS. I really haven't thought about Lincolns since the Zephyr got a bad rap for being a fusion with a new grill. The '09 MKS on the other hand, was beautiful and apparently doesn't share as much with it's stablemates. I was reading thetruthaboutcars.com review, and they seemed pleasantly surprised. It has a lot of gadgets: can parallel park itself, smart cruise control, Lincoln nav, an AWD option, twin-turbo option, leather, heated seats, etc. etc. The one I was looking at is the 2WD version and has 20K miles, it's priced at 27K. Like I said, I'd rather have an A6 or A8, but this seems like a great deal. Any thoughts?

It's not an Audi. You'd have to change to 'Lincolnman10'

My nephew has one. It's a nightmare. Has ghosts in it that nobody can find. Fuel management problems injector problems and more sensors than a 928. Run to the nearest Lincoln forum and you will see.

This Lincoln is supposed to be the "smartest" Lincoln to date. It has voice recognition, auto-pilot parking, lane sensors, etc. I could see it being an electrical nightmare unfortunately. I do think it's the best looking Lincoln in a very long time. |

4 years ago at the auto show in St. Louis you could fire a cannon through the Buick, Lincoln, and Mercury areas and never hit a soul, sad.
It's amazing to see such a change. This year, and somewhat last year, people were crawling all over the domestic cars. This year you could barely walk through the Ford section.

Self-parking, in case you can't parallel park.
