Pretty good.... I'm not up on Pop music.... Didn't recognize many of them at all....
|
That means you're getting old.:D
|
I remember being 16 and wondering how my parents could be so clueless on pop culture. Now 22 years later, I see videos like "We are the world" and wonder who the hell those people are. I've turned into my parents

Did Quincy Jones produce this one, too? If so, that's the reason it sounds good.
I heard they asked some rapper... Lil Wayne, maybe? ...to do the part Dylan did in the first one. He said, "I don't sing" or "I can't sing." They told him, "Exactly." |
“I’ve never been involved in anything like this,” Lil Wayne said after he recorded his solo for the remake of “We Are the World” on Monday night at the Henson Recording Studios as part of an all-star benefit for Haitian relief.
:::snip::: Asked how he approached the Dylan part and whether he sang or rapped it, Wayne said that was an embarrassing story, since he’s not known as a singer and he just tried to do his best to make it work. “I don’t know how to sing. I approached it the best way I know how, brother,” he told a reporter with a smile. When another writer asked whether he did a better job than Dylan, Wayne flashed his diamond-studded grill and said humbly, “Hell no.” Lil Wayne To Be Part Of "We Are The World" Remake [Video] | New Lil Wayne |

I recognized the names, probably not the faces.
Ann, Brian and Nancy Wilson; Heart and a guy I thought was dead. |
Heard me some Shabba at the end!
|
not a bad song/tune or concept, but i became really sick of it a long time ago. also sick of the entire jackson clan.

Oops no shaba...dunno who it was at the end.

It's not so much the realization that we've become our parents, it's the realization that the people we idolized as a kid were just flakes, just the same as Jay-Z and lady gaga.
|
Sounded the same to me. Maybe I didn't hear it all?
And I recognized very few myself. |

I haven't seen it start to finish yet... I was flipping channels and caught it about halfway through... two separate times... and I thought I saw Al Jardine, but from that point to the end, the editing was so quick/choppy, I never got a chance to confirm it. It seemed like they were trying to hide him or something. |
