That's not 4 inches of snow. That's 1" with 4" drifts.

Was just about to text my friend at Milsaps to see if they got any snow. Looks like I got the answer.

It'll melt by Monday. Up here, the snow sticks around until April.

It'll be gone by tomorrow...expect sunshine temps in mid-40's later today, rain and upper 40's Saturday.

Craziness that we've been having along the Gulf the last few years, huh?

We've had several snows here in Houston starting back in 2004, then again the last two years, and some of those have extended as far as Florida and Georgia.

Stranded due to snow? Driving in that is barely worse than driving in decent rain.

Thanks, serge...it really is kinda out of the ordinary for this area. Most homes are traditional or acadian or if older, ranch style. This one appears more of a contemporary/rustic with unpainted rough cut cypress siding...I have not seen another home in the central MS area so constructed. In these pics looks like it would be in the PNW or CO mountain areas...especially with the huge evrgreen out front in lieu of a magnolia

L O L @ "peckerwood friends."

We got about the same level of snowpocalypse here... looked like cotton lying in/on the branches of the trees... here are some amateur photos from the local newspaper's website...
