Former bandmate passed away at 47.
Not looking for anything but to share a little.
The guitarist that I played with passed away Thursday from a brain tumor. He was only 47. Aaron was a little older than I but he had been playing in the local(my hometown) scene for many years when we hooked up. He was more of a partyer than me but we had some great times playing and writing songs. Together with my best friend and our bass player, we attained goals that some thought were unattainable. We had a record company close to signing us when we(my best friend and I) decided that we wanted to do something different with our music. We parted ways with the other 2 and went our own way. For those of you that still play, I'm sure you can understand the bonding that can occur within bands, especially your first "good" one. Aaron was the first to admit he wasn't the greatest but he had fun playing and performing for the "bar" crowds. While I set aside that part of my life to concentrate on my career, he continued to play in various local bands up until he couldn't physically do it anymore. RIP Aaron. I'll remember the night we played Harpo's. We tore the house down!!!

God speed Aaron...
Lost a close friend and great keyboard player a few years back (he was around the same age too) and I know how you feel (we played but never professionally). Hoping they are jamming away in the great beyond.

I got a call last weekend from an old high school buddy who is a drummer. Just checking to see if you are still alive he said, so many people our age are already dead.
Still alive.
