Z-man,

Make sure you get a handicap parking placard for your car (or whoever is driving you). Not sure where you are in Jersey but it makes life easy in crowded areas. The joke at work for me is I have had "employee of the the month" parking for 4 months with my placard. I joke - but it helps alot especially with bad weather.

Quick update: I got my foot back yesterday!!!

The doctor cleared me to start walking without the air-cast on. I need to wean myself off the brace/aircast this week, and start walking on the foot without support. X-rays show a good amount of healing - so no "non-union" issues, which is fantastic news.

I can drive, walk, swim, ride a stationary bike. No running, tennis, sky-diving...etc.

So a step (pun intended) in the right direction!

Will you be able to do ballet now?

You are at elevated risk for reinjury, turning your ankle or something similar. Hopefully you are doing/have done the proprioception and strengthening stuff. Sort of helps you to relearn the position of your foot relative to your leg. Stretching is important too, you lose the range of motion when you are in one of those boots.
